Beth Carlson-Malena is offering the reflection on Sunday, August 18. Beth grew up as a Baptist pastor's kid in Saskatoon on Treaty 6 territory and now lives with her wife Danice in Vancouver on unceded Coast Salish land. Beth co-pastors a non-denominational church called Open Way that she helped start up six and a half years ago. She has a great side gig as a wedding officiant and spends the rest of her time bird-watching, giving tours at Van Dusen Gardens, organizing actions with others around climate justice and Palestine, and reading/watching science fiction.

After worship, you can join us for our in-person coffee hour! Everyone is welcome to stay for a cup of coffee and conversation with others.
