The United Feet for the Street now has 14 walkers, and we're always happy to welcome new members. With 3 weeks to go, there’s still time to join the team for a 2 or 5 km walk.

Keep in mind that John Leighton is offering an alternate 5 km walk on Friday, February 21 for those walkers who plan to attend the White Rock Concerts on the evening of February 22. For info, contact John at jleightn@telus.net

Here’s a message from George Passmore, Executive Director of Community Services with Sources:

"I have had the opportunity to see how the funds we raised from the Coldest Night of the Year event have helped people who are hungry, hurting and homeless. In addition to supporting our homelessness prevention program and the free youth counselling program, CNOY raised enough money that we were able to purchase a transit van that Sources Peer Support Team have been using to do community outreach across the Peninsula, offering connection, food, warm clothing and harm reduction supplies to people who are struggling with homelessness, substance use and/or mental health challenges."

To date we have raised approximately $3,500 with the hope that we can increase our 2024 total of $5,700. For more information, please contact team captain Carol Monaghan at monaghanc37@gmail.com
