We regret to tell you that we are cancelling the in–person worship services on Dec. 24, Dec. 26 and Jan 2.
We wish we could be together to celebrate Christmas but our desire to keep everyone safe, especially as we see rising infection rates of the Omicron variant of Covid 19, has led us to this difficult decision. A letter from Treena Duncan, the Executive Minister of the Pacific Mountain Region of the United Church of Canada, helped us to take this course of action. We encourage you to read her letter. Click here.
We are grateful that we can still gather as a church community on Zoom. Join us with a cup of coffee (or beverage of your choice) for an impromptu celebration of the Christ light which shines in the darkness and cannot be put out. Join us on Christmas Eve at 7:00 pm, Sunday, December 26 at 11 am, and Sunday, January 2 at 11:00 am. Cllck here for more information.
Stay tuned for information about worship services in January.
We hope and pray that next year we won’t be hindered by the pandemic and that we will be able to fill the house at Peninsula United Church, cuddle up together in the pews if we wish and sing to our heart’s delight.
Thanks for your understanding and patience.
May the blessings of resilience, hope, peace, joy, and love be with you this Christmas.
