On Transfiguration Sunday, February 11, The Right Reverend Carmen Lansdowne, the 44th Moderator of the United Church of Canada, will preach at Peninsula United Church on how we might imagine a flourishing church inspired by the life and actions of Jesus.
The Moderator is engaging with both local congregations and broader Canadian society to discuss how we can flourish, living a fulfilling life with a sense of purpose, in a post-COVID world. This visit is part of a three-year journey, called The Flourishing Project, to explore and discuss how individuals and communities can flourish and thrive, instead of simply survive.
The Moderator is the elected governing officer and spiritual leader of the United Church of Canada, and this visit is a very special opportunity.
